Camels and pyramids on the Giza Plateau
EGYPT · 11 DAYS / 10 NIGHTS

Egypt — Pyramids & the Living Nile

Monumental history, intimate river journeys and the pleasure of discovering Egypt at ground level.

THE JOURNEY

A different perspective on Egypt.

The pyramids make a magnificent opening, but the river gives this journey its rhythm. Begin with Egypt’s great monuments and museums, then leave the city behind for a dahabiya voyage: a traditional sailing vessel with air-conditioned, en-suite cabins. Five nights on the Nile create a continuous river chapter, with shore visits and time to watch everyday life along the banks.

This is a cultural journey with exploratory walks, rather than a hiking expedition. Monument courtyards, museum galleries, village paths and temple steps provide the activity. An Egyptologist helps connect the places you visit, while your Midasia Routes team coordinates the practical transitions. Some flight days require early starts.

Small-scale river travel is the heart of the experience. Come for the ancient architecture, and leave with a broader impression of Egypt: its changing light, its conversations and the relationship between the river and the land around it.
