Atlantic craftsmanship, living medinas and mountain tranquillity, with a private Agafay evening and an exceptional Atlas retreat.
THE JOURNEY
A closer connection to the place.
Begin beside the Atlantic, continue through the craftsmanship of Fez and the coastal capital of Rabat, then discover Marrakesh before a restful Atlas Mountains finale. Ten days connect these contrasting places without changing hotels each night: one night in Casablanca, three in Fez, three in Marrakesh and two in the mountains.
Private touring allows time to look closely, ask questions and pause. A choice of further Fez discovery or Volubilis and Meknes adds flexibility, while an Agafay dinner introduces the open landscape beyond Marrakesh. The final mountain stay combines optional village walks with time to enjoy a distinctive retreat.

DAY 01
An Atlantic Welcome
Arrive in Casablanca, where your Midasia Routes representative welcomes you and helps coordinate the transfer to your hotel. This first afternoon is deliberately responsive to your flight: settle in, refresh and, if time permits, take an introductory look at the city. Casablanca brings a different energy from the historic medinas ahead, with a broad Atlantic horizon and busy contemporary streets. Keep the evening gentle so that tomorrow’s touring begins comfortably. Your private team will explain the coming journey and agree the morning meeting time.
OVERNIGHT · Casablanca
Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca
DAY 02
White Stone, Ocean Light and the Road to Fez
Begin with private touring in Casablanca, including the waterfront, downtown districts, Jewish Museum and Hassan II Mosque. Allow time to notice the craftsmanship as well as the larger architectural forms: tiled surfaces, carved details and the changing light beside the sea reward a slower look. Afterwards, travel inland to Fez and settle into your accommodation for three nights. An introductory outing may be possible if arrival time allows; otherwise, enjoy a quiet evening before tomorrow’s fuller exploration of the medina.
OVERNIGHT · Fez
Traditional tanneries in Fez
DAY 03
Inside the Living Medina
Explore Fez el-Bali with your guide, following streets where daily life and skilled craftsmanship share the same narrow spaces. Tanners, potters, metalworkers and weavers make the medina a working neighbourhood, with textures and sounds that change from lane to lane. See its historic mosques and university buildings from permitted viewpoints, and continue to Fez el-Djedid, the Royal Palace gates and mellah. Pause regularly rather than rushing between landmarks; the small details of a doorway or workshop often explain as much as a grand facade.
OVERNIGHT · Fez
Roman remains at Volubilis
DAY 04
Mosaics and Imperial Memories
Choose a further day in Fez or an excursion to Volubilis and Meknes, returning to the same hotel this evening. At Volubilis, Roman remains stand in an open agricultural landscape; surviving mosaics, streets and monumental structures help reveal how the settlement functioned. Meknes offers a contrasting imperial setting. The excursion is optional, so travellers who prefer less driving can continue discovering Fez instead. Discuss the choice with your guide in advance, and keep comfortable walking shoes and sun protection ready for the archaeological ground.
OVERNIGHT · Fez
DAY 05
A Capital by the Sea
Leave Fez and pause in Rabat for a private introduction to Morocco’s coastal capital before continuing to Marrakesh. This is a substantial transfer day, so the capital visit provides a welcome change of pace between road stages. Keep a light day bag accessible and allow room for comfort stops rather than treating the journey as a race between cities. On reaching Marrakesh, settle into your hotel for three nights. The evening is best enjoyed quietly, with the city’s more detailed discoveries beginning tomorrow.
OVERNIGHT · Marrakesh
Jardin Majorelle, Marrakesh
DAY 06
Gardens, Palaces and the Art of Marrakesh
Explore Marrakesh through its gardens, architecture and craft traditions. Touring brings together Jardin Majorelle, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, the Jewish quarter, Koutoubia and the Ali ben Youssef Mosque and Madrassa, with visits planned around opening arrangements and permitted access. Museum interests can include Dar Si Said, the Palmeraie Museum and Yves Saint Laurent Museum. Rather than moving continuously, take pauses to absorb the contrast between quiet interiors and busy streets. Comfortable footwear is useful for the day’s walking, and your guide helps pace the visits.
OVERNIGHT · Marrakesh
An evening in the Agafay landscape
DAY 07
Souk Colours and an Agafay Evening
Continue your private city discovery through the souks, including the spice markets, and the lively setting of Djemaa el-Fna. Browse at your own pace, noticing the materials and workmanship behind everyday objects as well as decorative pieces. There is time to relax at the hotel this afternoon; boutiques and galleries in Gueliz can be considered according to your interests. Later, venture into Agafay’s rocky landscape for sunset camel riding, Amazigh entertainment and a private candlelit dinner, returning to Marrakesh after this contrasting desert evening.
OVERNIGHT · Marrakesh
DAY 08
Into the Quiet of the Atlas
Travel from Marrakesh into the Atlas Mountains and settle into Kasbah Tamadot for two nights. The change in surroundings creates a natural pause after the intensity of the imperial cities. Spend the afternoon enjoying the resort’s grounds and mountain outlook, with space to read, rest or simply watch the light move across the slopes. There is no need to add a demanding activity immediately after arrival. Let the cooler air and quieter rhythm introduce the final chapter of the journey.
OVERNIGHT · Atlas Mountains
The landscapes of the Atlas Mountains
DAY 09
Village Paths and Mountain Hospitality
Enjoy flexible private touring among local Amazigh villages and markets, with an optional guided walk shaped around your interests and fitness. The Atlas provides a different scale of experience from the cities: paths, cultivated slopes and small settlements encourage closer observation rather than a long checklist of monuments. Ask before taking portraits and let your guide introduce encounters naturally. Return to Kasbah Tamadot with time to enjoy the resort. Walking conditions and market activity vary, so the precise outing is agreed locally.

DAY 10
A Considered Farewell
After breakfast and time to prepare, leave the mountains for your private airport transfer. Departure can be arranged through Marrakesh or Casablanca according to the confirmed flight plan, with the longer Casablanca transfer requiring an appropriately early start. Your team coordinates the timing and departure assistance so that the final journey is unhurried. Keep documents, medication and any items needed during the drive in your hand luggage. Today concludes the ten-day route, carrying memories of Morocco’s coast, medinas and mountain villages home.
