AN INVITATION, NOT JUST A VISIT
Bastar Dussehra follows a distinctive tradition centred on Maa Danteshwari. Travel with a regional specialist to understand the communities, ceremonial responsibilities and devotion behind this remarkable gathering.
Explore selected public ceremonies with a regional specialist who explains their meaning and local context. This is a privately supported cultural expedition, using the best suitable accommodation available in the region. Routes and event access are confirmed locally before travel.
HOW YOU BECOME PART OF IT
Moments to make your own.
The chariot & its communities
Observe accessible public events connected to the chariot and local traditions. Your specialist explains the people, materials and responsibilities involved.
Artists & everyday life
Between ceremonies, arrange respectful encounters with regional craftspeople or community hosts. These visits offer another perspective on contemporary life in Bastar.
A supported cultural journey
Travel with planned transfers and a flexible schedule. Quiet rest periods and carefully chosen accommodation support a rewarding visit in a less-developed tourism region.
YOUR PACE
A focused multi-day visit timed to selected public ceremonies.
WHEN TO COME
The annual Bastar Dussehra calendar; individual rituals fall on different dates.
